Hair Care Tips For Those Suffer With Brittle And Dry Hair

Dry Brittle Hair Treatment

Lack of adequate moisture in your hair can make it dry. When the oil glands become inactive, they stop producing enough oil for your hair. As a result your hair becomes thin and brittle.  You will have to pamper hair that is in this condition, since otherwise your hair fall will increase. You can try some home remedies to help your dry hair gain luster and bounce. In one cup of coconut milk add two teaspoons of gram flour. Mix this and apply on your hair and scalp. This needs to stay on your hair for only fifteen minutes and can then be washed off.  Vinegar helps condition your hair and can help your dry hair gain a shine. All you have to do is use a tablespoon of vinegar mixed in a cup of water as the last rinse when you are washing your hair.  If your hair is really damaged and requires instant treatment, you can mix half a cup of vinegar with two cups of water and use this as a conditioner. Leave this on your hair for some time after you have shampooed and then wash it off.  For a more effective treatment for dry hair and scalp you can use vinegar to massage your scalp. Soaking your hair in vinegar is another remedy that will help remove the dryness from your hair. You can mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar to a basin of water and then soak your hair in this. If your hair is too short to be soaked in this you can make a mixture of the vinegar and water and use this to spray your hair. Eggs contain protein and for that reason are great for dry hair. You can simply break an egg and apply this on your hair and scalp. This nourishes your dry hair and gives it a shine. If the damage to your hair is extensive then you will need a stronger treatment. For this you can break three eggs into a bowl and add two tablespoons of olive oil or coconut oil and mix well. Apply this to your hair and cover it with a shower cap. Allow this to work on your hair for half an hour and then shampoo.

You will find that taking some basic precautions will also help protect your hair and stop it from looking dry and frizzy. You should avoid using very hot water to wash your hair. Lukewarm water is the best option since it does not strip the essential oils from your hair.  Protecting your hair from the elements also helps hair look healthier.
