What is kripalu yoga?


Kripalu Yoga highlights the importance of the correct procedures and techniques of Yoga. It lays stress on keeping the breathing techniques and aligning the body with perfect sync and harmony. Bend and sit with your knees firmly placed on the ground and your body resting on your palms. Slowly pull your spine in an outwardly direction and stretch your back. At the same time, stretch your shoulders without bending your straightened arms.

Another excellent pose for Kripalu Yoga is the upward dog position. Start this position by lying on your belly with your arms close to the chest and feet at shoulder-width apart. Now slowly raise your head and lift your body and at the same time straighten your arms. Try to pull your lower back outwards and try to straighten your spine. Push your head up and look up. Hold this position for 15 to 30 seconds and then relax.
