Black Skin Care – Tips To Makes Black Skin Healthy And Glowing

How To Care Black Skin

The natural complexion of your skin is a matter of heredity, and is determined by the amount of the natural coloring pigment, melanin that your body produces. Another cause of darkening of skin is regular exposure to direct sunlight. The skin produces melanin in greater amounts in order to protect itself from the harmful ultraviolet radiation of the sun, as a result of which the skin turns darker or tanned. It is important to take good care of your skin irrespective of its natural complexion, so that it looks healthy and glowing. There are easy ways of taking care of dark skin at home:

  • Powder some dried orange peel and mix it with a cup of curd. Massage your face with this paste and leave it on for 15 minutes before washing your face with water. This removes blotches and blemishes and gives your skin an even tone.

  • Soak a few almonds in half a cup of milk overnight and grind them to a paste the next morning. Store this in the refrigerator and apply this on your face and neck every night before going to bed. Wash your face with water the next morning. Following this remedy for a couple of weeks brings a noticeable glow to your complexion.

  • A paste made by mixing turmeric powder and fresh lime juice may also be applied on the tanned skin in order to lighten its complexion naturally.

  • Make a face pack by mixing one tablespoon each of lemon juice, honey and milk powder and half a tablespoon of almond oil and apply this on your face. Wait for 10 minutes before washing your face with water. Daily application of this mixture lightens your complexion naturally.

  • The juice of potatoes is highly beneficial in removing spots and blemishes from the skin, since it acts as a natural bleaching agent. Slice a raw potato thinly and place the slices on your face. Leave them on till your face starts feeling dry and then wash your face with water.

  • Another natural way of treating dark skin is to mix one tablespoon of gram flour with two tablespoon of raw, unsweetened milk and a few drops of lime juice, and massage your skin with this paste every day. In a few weeks, your skin will look visibly fairer.

  • Crushing a few mint leaves and applying their juice on the face some time before going to bed is also a useful remedy for dark skin.
