Getting Rid of Pimple Scars and Blackheads With No Expensive Treatment
Home Remedies To Get Rid of Blackheads and Pimple Scars
Pimples generally pose a major dermatological problem only during an individual’s teenage year. However, they can leave behind ugly scars on the skin, which may become difficult to get rid off, unless treated in time. It is important to first understand why pimples appear in order to treat them effectively. Due to the surge in the activity of hormones in the body during adolescence, the sebaceous glands beneath the skin produce oil in increased amounts. This oil comes up to the pores on the surface of the skin and solidifies with dead skin cells and dirt particles, on direct exposure to air. The clogged pores on the skin appear to look like tiny, dark spots and are commonly called blackheads. If the skin is not regularly cleansed and exfoliated, germs start breeding in these clogged pores, often leading to the formation of pus and appearing as pustules known as pimples. Obviously, the best way to prevent the appearance of pimples and blackheads is to ensure that your skin is always free of oil, dirt, bacteria, and dead skin. Frequently splashing the face with cold water is an easy way of doing this. You should also use a mild face cleanser at the end of the day to remove all traces of cosmetic skin care products and make up, as these tend to trap smoke and dust particles, and clog the skin pores, thereby leading to the appearance of blackheads and pimples.
Besides these general preventive measures, you should also follow a few specific home remedies to get rid of blackheads and pimple scars. You can make an excellent natural face scrub at home by mixing a tablespoon of gram flower and a teaspoon of turmeric powder with half a cup of yogurt and adding a few drops of lemon juice to this mixture. Massage your skin with this paste and leave it on for at least 15 minutes before washing your face with water. This not only exfoliates the skin naturally, thereby preventing the appearance of blackheads, but also lightens pimple marks and scars considerably over a period of time. You may also squeeze the juice of half a lemon into two tablespoons of honey and apply this mixture on your face. Lemon juice bleaches the skin naturally while honey makes the skin soft, firm and smooth. Thus, this is an effective way of treating blackheads and pimple scars. Rubbing the skin with a slice of tomato is also useful in tightening the skin and preventing the appearance of blackheads.
