Dried turmeric roots, when powdered and mixed with the juice of bitter gourd leaves, is an excellent natural remedy for treating measles. Topical application of turmeric paste is useful in treating cuts, bruises and minor wounds. This prevents the growth of microbes on the site of the injury and speeds up the natural healing process. Turmeric is also used in several homemade beauty packs. Applying a mixture of milk cream and turmeric powder on stretch marks helps fade them away gradually. You may also mix some gram flour, turmeric powder and milk cream and massage your face with this paste every alternate day to naturally exfoliate your skin.
