Blackheads Remedies: How To Get Rid Of Blackheads On Nose

Blackhead Home Remedies

Blackheads are brownish or blackish bumps on the skin that can be rather unattractive. They are usually caused by the accumulation of excess natural oil called sebum which is essential as it keeps the skin lubricated, thus giving it its natural texture. Pollution, exposure to direct sunlight, clogged pores, unhealthy eating habits and hormonal changes also contribute to the formation of blackheads. The use of oil based creams and cosmetics; humidity and stress tend to aggravate the condition.

Keeping your skin clean at all times is a matter of priority when trying to get rid of blackheads. The nose is more prone to the accumulation of dead skin cells and grime that clog pores resulting in blackheads and other forms of acne. When using skin care products, most people tend to focus on the cheeks and forehead, giving little importance to the nose and the area around the lips. This is one of the chief causes for the concentration of blackheads on the nose. A steam bath helps in unclogging pores and getting rid of dirt and dead cells. A few drops of lavender oil, added to the boiling water, helps in relaxing the body and prevents the occurrence of blackheads. Once the pores are open, a blackhead remover may be used to remove the blackheads and dead cells. Picking at the blackheads with fingernails should be avoided so as to prevent the spread of infection.

Washing your face with a mild face wash, preferably with aloe and tea tree oil as main ingredients, will help in keeping the sebum in check without drying the skin further. It will also prevent the accumulation of oil and grime. Aloe has the ability to absorb excess oil while moisturizing the skin and tea tree oil has excellent anti-microbial qualities that help in keeping infection causing germs at bay. Aloe gel can also be used to moisturize the skin due to its qualities that promote healthy skin. A face mask made with milk cream, lemon juice and oatmeal is recommended for the removal of blackheads. Apply an even coat on the face and the neck, ensuring that the nose is completely covered. Allow the mixture to dry completely before rubbing it off gently with your fingertips. The milk cream nourishes the skin, making it soft and supple. Lemon juice lightens skin tone, sloughs off dead skin and flushes out pores, making skin fresh and bright. Oatmeal exfoliates the skin and absorbs the excess oil, thus preventing the accumulation of dead cells and oil.
