Corn On Toes Treatment: How To Get Rid Of Painful Corns On Toes

Treatment For Corns

Corns that develop on the toes can be very painful and discomforting. It can take quite a while for the corns to subside and once they do, they are likely to leave behind scars. There are some preventive measures that can be taken to keep corns from developing on the toes. Firstly, it is very important to wear shoes that are well fitted. Tight or ill fitting shoes are the most common cause of corns. The skin tends to rub against the sides of the shoes repeatedly. This causes the skin to become hard. When buying shoes, it is important to go in for a size that fits comfortably. After trying on the shoes, walk around in them to ensure that they fit well. Shoes that are too loose can also damage the feet by causing soft corns. Friction from footwear can be reduced by wearing corn pads on the toes. Pain resulting from corns may be subsided by applying lemon on the corns. A slice of lemon may be placed over the corns and socks may be worn to keep it in place. Another effective remedy for corns on the toes is to apply apple cider vinegar to the affected areas. One may soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and then place it on the corn. This may be done on a daily basis, until the corn disappears.

There are several other home remedies as well that can help in the treatment of corns. These remedies are both effective and gentle on the skin, as they do not cause any side effects. They are also very easy to use as the ingredients are usually easily available at home. Raw papaya juice is known to be helpful in getting rid of corns. This may be applied twice or thrice a day. You can also add a few drops of water to chalk powder to prepare a paste. Apply this paste on the corns before going to bed at night. Another effective remedy for corns can be made by adding mustard oil to powdered licorice. Apply this to the affected areas thrice daily.

Essentials oils are beneficial in treating many skin ailments. Oils such as tangerine and lemon may be applied to the corns for relief from pain. The juice of green figs may also be applied daily to the corns on the toes. You can also apply some castor oil to the affected areas and leave it on overnight.
