An effective natural remedy for teeth whitening is made by mixing half a teaspoon of baking soda, half a teaspoon of vinegar and some salt. This helps in stain removal and also helps to protect the teeth against bacteria. This is considered to be one of the most beneficial remedies for teeth whitening. A tooth whitening powder can be easily made at home with basil leaves and dried orange rind. Mix about 20 basil leaves and a little dried orange rind and clean the teeth with this for effectively removing stains. You can also add a couple of drops of hydrogen peroxide to half a tablespoon of baking soda and use to clean the teeth. This may result in a small amount of irritation, but it will help to remove discoloration.


A paste of ground strawberries is another very effective remedy to whiten the teeth. You can also crush some walnuts and use it as a natural cleanser for the teeth. This keeps bacteria away, thereby preventing from infection and also helps in getting rid of stains. A mixture of salt that is rich in iodine and baking soda also constitutes as a beneficial remedy for cleaning the teeth. You may combine a teaspoon of baking soda and a pinch of the iodine rich salt and use it to clean the teeth on a regular basis.
