Fibromyalgia is defined as the disorder which causes a person to feel muscle pain and also inordinate fatigue. People suffering from this condition of fibromyalgia normally have various tender or sore points on their bodies. These sore or tender points are normally located in the shoulders, hips, neck, back, legs and arms. When pressure is exerted on these points the person will normally feel some pain. They should include plenty of cabbage, carrots, salads, radish, and any other foods that give the person large quantities of roughage. They should also be given plenty of water to drink and other fluids like juices or soups. They should always be well hydrated. Coconut water has also been found to contain plenty of good properties and people suffering from fibromyalgia are advised to drink plenty of coconut milk or coconut water. One should also restrict their consumption of refined sugars and sweets. Foods which contain these should be avoided. One should try and live a life that is free from stress. Hence getting adequate sleep is also essential in this regard. An average person should be getting about 7 to 8 hours of sleep a day. Meditation, yoga and exercise have also been proven to be beneficial. Try applying some vinegar over the sore areas. The vinegar should be gently warmed first. Another mixture can be made of kerosene oil and olive oil in an equal proportion and gently used as massage oil over the sore areas. This can be used twice or thrice a day for a couple of months. People suffering from fibromyalgia should avoid eating too much of junk food or even oily food. Cranberry and radish should be consumed in large quantities. They are found to contain properties that help in fighting muscle pain. Try papaya as another very effective home remedy. Take 9 to 10 papaya seeds and grind them with some water. Then boil this mixture and drain it. This needs to be drunk 2 to 3 times in a day.
