One should not practice this yoga pose if they are suffering from any kind of back injury. Another pose involves the shoulder stretching. A lot of people tend to have a lot of tension in their shoulders and their necks. This gives them bad posture and also causes stiffness in their necks. Some of the basic stretching exercise poses can help in reducing and alleviating these pains. First, start by joining your hands in front of you and holding them in a stretch for a few seconds. Next raise the joined hands above one’s head and hold in a stretch. The hands have to be straight at all times. Then join the hands at the back and imitate the same extended stretch. One can even bend over at the waist to give a further stretch to the back. The Surya Namaskar is the yoga pose that involves a stretch in almost all the parts of one’s body.
