Remedies For Rheumatoid Arthritis Joint Pain Relief

Rheumatoid arthritis is a condition in which the cartilage tissues in the body joints are worn out or inflamed, causing prolonged pain and hampering free and easy movement. Women are more vulnerable to this ailment than men. It generally affects older people, though the first signs of this disease may appear in middle age itself. The initial symptoms are pain and stiffness in the joints, especially early in the morning and after long periods of inactivity. The joints of hands and feet are the most commonly affected, and they often become warm and swollen in such a condition. Sometimes the joints of the shoulders and knees may also be affected. In advanced stages of the disease, even the tendons are affected which causes disfiguring of body parts.

Though there is no permanent cure for arthritis, a few measures can be taken to prevent its occurrence or reduce its impact on the body. Since arthritis is observed to affect overweight people more often, it is advisable that one should keep his/her body weight in check. If you are overweight, shedding those extra kilos through a proper regimen of exercise and diet is a good way of preventing arthritis.
