Asthma is a chronic disorder which affects the respiratory system. This causes people suffering from the disorder to suffer shortness of breath. Asthma patients find themselves panting at the slightest exertion. This disorder can affect people of all ages and is caused due to an allergic reaction.  

What Trigger Asthma Attack?


People who suffer from Asthma find that a variety of reasons can trigger an attack. Usually exertion of any kind, exposure to a cold or damp climate, exposure to dust and pollution are some of the most common causes for an attack of Asthma. However, sometimes people notice that stress, a stomach disorder and other such causes can also result in an Asthma attack. The easiest way to manage Asthma is by ensuring that you don’t do anything to cause an attack. For this you should stay away from dusty places and avoid eating food that is very cold. You may find that you are allergic to a particular food product and should take care of avoid that at all costs.

You can also try some home remedies. You can heat a ripe banana and then mash it. Eat it with some black pepper sprinkled on it. You can grind some fresh basil leaves and mix some honey in this. Eat this when you feel that you are going to get an attack of asthma.  One of the most effective cures for Asthma is turmeric. You can use the whole Turmeric roots and grind these to a powder. Add some honey to this and eat this. Similarly boiling half a cup of milk and adding a pinch of turmeric to it can help you keep your Asthma at bay. You will find that boiling four cloves of garlic in a cup of milk, till the milk is reduced to half and drinking this milk at bedtime will also help you cure your asthma.

Boil two teaspoons of fenugreek seeds in a cup of water. Allow the water to be reduced to one third its original quantity and then drink this water. You will also have to watch your diet. Most Asthma patients notice that what they eat affects how often they get Asthma attacks. For this reason it is a good idea to eat dinner early. Late dinners should be avoided since they don’t give you the time to digest the food you have eaten. Eat a  light dinner- something like soups are perfect. Avoid eating rich food with lots of oil and spices since these can cause an Asthma attack.
