You may want to opt for a juice detox diet if you’ve been binging on a lot of fast foods, or have been taking a lot of medicines, or just feeling lethargic. A juice detox diet is much better than an only water diet, because juices will help you feel energetic and keep the nutrients from flowing into your body.
For a juice diet, begin your breakfast with a glass of vitamin-rich juice. Take your pick from fruit or vegetable juices, and make your juices at home so that they are fresh and nutritious. Since juices have a high water content so they will help flush out toxins faster.
To prevent yourself from feeling hungry, keep drinking juices every few of hours. Over time, your body will cleanse itself of all toxins, and you will feel fresh and light. In the bargain, you might also lose a few pounds – so a juice detox diet may be just the thing for this weekend.
When you’re on a juice detox diet, make sure than you choose your juices with care and refill every now and then. Keep an array of fruit and vegetable juices handy – there’s so much to choose from. Make a list of all your favorite fruits and vegetables, and put them through the juicer, to make yourself some fresh juices. If orange, apple, spinach and tomato are some of your favorite veggies and fruits, then stock up on these before you begin your diet. Then every time you want a glass of juice, make a fresh batch. Juices that are left out start to lose their nutritive value as the nutrients in them start to oxidize and degrade.
When you’re on a fresh juice diet, do work in some light exercise in your schedule, to keep you fit and feeling energized.
